Thank you for your interest in joining one of our mission trips this year!
Please read the descriptions carefully and give prayerful consideration before selecting your mission. Where is God calling you?
Check the box for the trip you are applying for and then complete the entire application.
A deposit of $100 must be included with this application. You will be directed to payment options once you submit your application.
Once your application has been received, we will schedule an interview for you with the missions committee. This will take approximately 10 minutes. Upon approval, the trip leader will be in touch with you and the training and fundraising begins!
We believe it’s important for the person going on the missions trip to make a personal investment financially, in addition to requesting funds from friends and family. This could be from savings, getting another job, making cupcakes, the skies the limit! You are also permitted to send out fundraising letters to a maximum of 10 people within Lakemount, in addition to team fundraisers.
Each team member is responsible to raise their own personal funds and have paid in full two weeks prior to departure, meeting each of the payment deadlines. There will also be 4-5 team training meetings that are mandatory in order to be fully prepared for your short term missions experience.
Team members are always encouraged to raise funds over and above their personal goal to assist others on their team or with other Lakemount missions. (The distribution of overage funds lies solely with the wisdom and discretion of the Lakemount leadership in accordance with CCCC guidelines and should be cheerfully released for Kingdom purpose in the area of missions.)
Once Accepted Checklist:
Submit an up-to-date police check (within the past 18 months)
Schedule a Sozo appointment
Provide two colour photocopies of your passport
Submit Medical Release online
Submit Waiver of Liability
Obtain Travel/Medical Insurance
Get any necessary shots/medication
The Missions Department of LWC is excited to offer short-term mission experiences for the church. Please understand it is no one’s “RIGHT” to participate in one of our outreaches. It is however, a “PRIVILEGE” to be chosen to participate. It is the responsibility of the Missions Pastor and the Missions Committee to ultimately decide to accept an applicant for a short-term mission team. Sending people into another nation and culture to preach the gospel of Christ is not to be taken lightly. It is our responsibility to provide the best possible experience for each team and our goal is to put together a group of people who will be a team.
Thank you for prayerfully considering one of our Short-Term Outreaches.
Deposits are non-refundable. No refund will be released to any team member who may change his/her mind to travel with the team.
